ACM HSG x Google: Office visit and tech talks

Get the opportunity to gain exciting insights into Google. At this event we will visit Google in Zurich. First we will get a guided tour through the offices, then two exciting tech talks on the topics "ML at Google" and "Ten things we've learnt from running production infrastructure at Google" await us.  We will end the event with an aperitif and hopefully lively discussions:)

Location: Google Zurich (We are planning a joint journey from St. Gallen, travel costs must be borne independently).  

Application

Application deadline is 24 February 20:00  Please note that places are very limited. Therefore the places will be drawn by lot among all applied participants. Only participants who have received a confirmation of participation are eligible to participate. (Each registration will be confirmed manually on 25 February.) A waiting list will be kept in order to pass on any places that become available.   

All confirmed participants will receive further information on the 25th February.

Title: Ten things we've learned from running production infrastructure at Google 

Summary: This talk covers ten key lessons we have learned in 20 years of practicing SRE at Google and the themes that have emerged throughout these lessons, which cover areas such as SRE culture, operations, and change management.

Talk 2 

Presenter: Manana Lortkipanidze

Title: Machine Learning @ Google

Summary: What is Machine Learning and how is Google using it: brief overview.
